Shared Spaces

In May when Coach and I joined our homes, we combined a number of items.
-Our clothing, we now share a closet....a tiny little mouse hole of a closet.
-Our cleaning supplies, Coach uses generic, I prefer my Windex.
AND
-Our bookshelf.

Have you ever head that "you are what you eat!"? Well, I have decided that even more so, "you are what you READ."
Coach is a Coach in every area of his life. He is, of course, a Coach to his Football players. He's young and a little juvenile (if I do say so myself) so they relate well :-) He is a Coach in his classroom everyday. And his is also a Coach to me. He encourages me, supports me, cusses me, and keeps me working hard. And All of this Coaching is reflected in his reading.

(Coach's Shelf)
I am a emotional person. I make 90% of my decisions with my heart. I allow my gut to guide, like so many other women do. I am a teacher, a believer, a friend and a writer. And I love weddings. (Day of Inspiration!) My shelf in the office, says just that :-) Included on my Shelf are,

(My Bookshelf)
What does your bookshelf say about you?

Love and Peace- may you all stay dry and warm this week. My friends in Chicago are preparing for a doozie!

The World's Worst Chili!

That's right, Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you....
THE WORLD'S WORST CHILI!
And I created it.

A word to the wise....DO NOT try this at home.

In happier news, it snowed here in SOKY and we got ourselves a snow day! Time for organizing, and I have a baby shower to plan! I'll keep you posted.
Love and Peace on this white Winter day!

OBSESSION.

Magazines.
It's ridiculous. I am so in love with them.
Coach got a subscription to Sports Illustrated for his birthday in November, so he is becoming quite the magazine reader himself, the stack of muscley men is growing and right next to...

*Brides Magazine

*Southern Lady

* Southern Living

*Real Simple

*Elle

*Vogue

I could read the same magazine 10 times and still love it!
What's your guilty pleasure?

Love and Peace!

The "OMG, I wish I had..." list.

Some of my friends are young mothers and they carry around these bags that rival Mary Poppins. In fact, my friend Jamie (a young mother) made her purse and it's over-the-top contents part of her New Year Resolution. She vowed to start carrying only what was absolutely necessary. You know, really, some of my friends who not young mothers are guilty of the same!

While I have never had this problem (I tend to carry bags too small for my items) I DO find myself wishing I had things with me that I don't. So I have comprised a list for the "Jamie's" and the "Me's" of the crowd.

This is my "OMG, I wish I had...." list!

1. Start with something small, that has a zipper to keep the contents contained. I am a Coach girl so I chose a Medium Coach Optical Wristlet. And I always use something brightly colored so it will stick out in the bottom of my purse. If you're not a Coach girl, I'll tell you that Vineyard Vines and J.Crew have similar bags.

2. Pony Tail Holder & Bobby Pins! Even if your hair is too short for the 50's style, you should keep hair accessories handy!

3. Cash is a MUST. I'm not a big cash carrier. I know that if it's in my wallet, I am WAY more likely to spend it. However, you never know when you might need a few bucks. The Valet? A tip? You just never know. So stick with a 20 and you'll be set.

4. Tic-Tacs, Band-Aids, Advil, Nail File!

....Girl, just pack it. They are mini but mighty.

5. Lovely lips require some attention through the winter, so be sure that you pack some protection for your pout. I'm a Burt's Bee's girl for necessity and a Bigelow girl for smooching. Depending on your plans- you decide.

OR

6. Last but not least, an extra pair of earrings. Never, ever should a woman with pierced ears go out without earrings. And in the event that you might lose a stud (Or BOTH) you should always carry an extra pair. I chose pearl studs for my "OMG" bag. They go with everything :-)

That's the list, now go on girls and organize your carry-alls! Make room for this baggie and your own needs :-)
Love and Peace on this Manic Monday!

It's time for tights...

I'm ready! It's time! I hate winter and all but I miss my goofy green tights and my purple wool hat. I LOVEEEEEE fall fashion and yet, the 90 degree temps prevail!!!!

Kate Spade, Southern Proper, Old Navy...They are calling to me. They want desperately to redeem themselves from the "in between seasons" headache they caused me at the beginning of the month. It's time to go shopping :-)

So c'mon cool breezes, help me out. I want to enjoy my Pumpkin Spice Latte in a new pair of suede boots. I just can't do it when it's above 70 outside!

Love and Peace to you all!!!

2010 BG vs Warren East Highlights

Two post in one day...I know, Holy Cow. However, I just changed my background in honor of the BG vs. Trinity game that is coming this Friday and it reminded me that I never wrote about the INSANITY that was the Warren East game. I will let the video do most of the "talking" for me but I want you all to know that it was MONSOONING!!!!!!!
